High School Reunion (of sorts)

One year ago my Highland High School Class of '77 held it's 30 year reunion. I wasn't able to attend...as our family was enjoying the beaches and climate of Southern California that same week. I felt bad...but NOT sooooooo bad because I'm blessed enough to get together with my "BEST-EST" High School friends (and their AWESOME husbands!) about 5 times each year. Every summer we invite our "offspring" and they actually show up...even the "old" offspring!! Yes, among us, we have several married children. My friend Stephanie is even a Grandma now (are you reading this MY children!). We usually just enjoy our own (old aged) company, but for our summer party we invite the "kids" and for several years they have come to enjoy swimming and yummy food brought by ALL to our backyard. The adults usually don't swim...unless forced to...one way or another...

(Jeff, just so you know, you're in trouble!).

Friends are truly the "best medicine" in life...especially the ones we've had around for pretty much ALL of our lives!! They've been "through it all" with us...and still seem to love us anyway. What would we do in life without them?

My High School friends all turn 50 over the next year (I guess I'm included in this group!). While our children were enjoying the pool, the "girls" were planning a 50 year celebration to Mexico this coming winter...

WOW - maybe turning 50 does have it's perks!!

What goes around comes around - near perfect clones!

Jeff...proud of his work (throwing Tom in the pool)
Tom's smiling now Jeff...but just you wait!

Here we are...the gang...plotting a "getaway" to Mexico!

Just missing a few who couldn't come or, much to our chagrin, moved away to other States
(how dare they leave us!)

The house you painted looks great!

Our family signed up for a service project painting a house like that several years ago. The paint was furnished and the date arranged.

Micah was up on a ladder getting everything ready when a lady came running out angrily, shouting at him to stop looking through her window. Come to find out, we were at the wrong house!
